Paintsville Police are warning families after fentanyl-laced tablets shaped like cartoon characters were seized, urging parents to talk with children about the dangers of unknown drugs.

“Fentanyl is such a strong drug and so to know that could be in the hands of our young people was exceptionally concerning,” one parent said.

Crews from multiple fire departments are on the scene Tuesday evening of a fire in rural Cabell County that claimed a pet dog's life and destroyed at least one car, our crew at the scene reported.
